With over two-dozen courses – including three of the country’s top 100 (Pronghorn, Tetherow and Crosswater), it is no surprise why Golf Digest ranked Central Oregon as one of the Top 25 golf destinations in the world. From high desert to a backdrop of the Cascade Mountains, Central Oregon has courses designed by some of the game’s greatest architects. Each course has its own story, and with so many, there’s one for every level of player.

Tetherow, on Bend’s west side is one of David McKay Kidd’s Scottish Links Masterpieces. Named one of the nation’s best new courses, Tetherow’s knobs, knolls, fescues and tufts are as scenic as they are potentially penalizing to a scorecard.

Looking to stay where you play? Black Butte Ranch, a full service resort is also home to the Big Meadow course, honored as one of the “Best Courses You Can Play” in Oregon and Glaze Meadow, ranked #1 course redesign by Golfweek.

Pronghorn, a Auberge Resort, is a true luxury experience just east of Bend, and home to Jack Nicklaus and Tom Fazio courses.

The Nicklaus Course cuts through lava rock outcroppings and offers stunning mountain views.

The private Fazio Course includes a hole designed around an ancient lava tube.

Sunriver Resort, just south of Bend, is home to sixty-three holes of golf between Meadows, Woodlands, Caldera Springs and the incomparable Crosswater Club, host site of a Champions Tour major, the PGA Professionals Club Championship and several NCAA championship events. Sunriver is also the official host site for the Lithia Pacific Amateur Golf Classic.

Central Oregon also hosts a number of unique course features like the tight, tree-lined fairways of Widgi Creek, the railcar bridge at Lost Tracks Golf Club and the red-cinder bunkers at Aspen Lakes in Sisters.

Central Oregon’s ‘Top 100’ Collection Packages begin at $875! Our Golf Concierge services are free to help you build your dream vacation.

Every September, Central Oregon hosts over 500 participants for the largest amateur golf tournament in the west — The Lithia Pacific Amateur Golf Classic.
