Golf Today Magazine Expands into Washington and Oregon

New magazine will focus on the courses, products and services that make the Northwest states of Oregon and Washington a golfer’s paradise

Seattle,WA — (March 2, 2009) The Northwest edition of Golf Today Magazine, a monthly publication that caters to and supports the needs of the Northwest golfer, is proud to announce the debut of its inaugural issue March 13, 2009 at the Seattle Golf Show. While Golf Today Magazine: Northwest Edition will bring fresh content to the region and feature courses and products specific to Oregon and Washington, it is backed by more than 22 years of publishing experience through its sister publication, Golf Today Magazine: West Coast Edition.

The magazine will cater to golfers who live and play in the Pacific Northwest and will feature up-to-date golf news, feature stories, course and resort profiles, special “how-to” columns, commentary and more.  In addition, golf courses and those who support the industry will have a place to promote their goods and services to active golfers.

Publisher Cameron Healey is no stranger to the links, often heading out to the Country Club in Christchurch, New Zealand while growing up to create lifelong memories with his buddies, or “mates” as they’re referred to in Kiwi language. Since that time, Cameron has spent the past 11 years honing his publishing and editing experience here in the United States, cultivating several small-time magazines into well-known and respected national publications. His love for the game, passion for the Northwest and years of publishing expertise are what compelled Cameron to expand Golf Today Magazine into the Northwest region.

“The Northwest is a golf lover’s paradise. Whether it’s incredible Scottish-link courses such as Chambers Bay in Tacoma or the Links at Moses Pointe in Moses Lake sculpted centuries ago by glacial forces, our courses are among some of the best in the world,” said Healey. “I’m honored to bring a publication to market that shares the best golf has to offer to readers in the Northwest.”
